999.9 (Four Nines) is a Japanese eyewear brand founded in 1995. The brand name derives from the number engraved on pure gold ingots: 999.9. In its original meaning, it indicates that “the gold has a purity of at least 999.9 parts per 1,000” — a mark of the highest-quality pure gold. In its craftsmanship, Four Nines pursues the possibility within that remaining 0.1 and strives for the highest level of quality. The name embodies the brand’s philosophy of continuously making efforts to come ever closer to perfection — to 1,000 — day after day. This commitment is reflected in everything that Four Nines creates.

Combining plastic rims of moderate volume with a metal bridge, M-180 series delivers a mixed style with a contemporary front design. Built with a structure that stabilizes the combination of contrasting materials, it features signature Four Nines functionality and sophisticated styling.

Product details

  • A newly designed bridge inspired by rimless styles. Anchored along both the front and side surfaces of the plastic rim with screw sockets integrated into the pad arms, it combines a fresh mixed-material look with front stability.

  • The Gyaku-R hinge prevents distortion and maintains frame shape while delivering a comfortable fit. It is configured in optimal balance to match the frame's volume.

  • Available in two styles: the Boston-shaped M-180 and the square M-181. Based on classic silhouettes, each model is finished with a modern expression.
