999.9 (Four Nines) is a Japanese eyewear brand founded in 1995. The brand name derives from the number engraved on pure gold ingots: 999.9. In its original meaning, it indicates that “the gold has a purity of at least 999.9 parts per 1,000” — a mark of the highest-quality pure gold. In its craftsmanship, Four Nines pursues the possibility within that remaining 0.1 and strives for the highest level of quality. The name embodies the brand’s philosophy of continuously making efforts to come ever closer to perfection — to 1,000 — day after day. This commitment is reflected in everything that Four Nines creates.

Built on a simple metal semi-rimless base, S-186T series pursues elevated design and premium quality through meticulous detailing. As the successor to S-184T series originally developed mainly for international markets, it refines both aesthetics and proportions across two authentic frame styles.

Product details

  • The clean-lined bridge is anchored at two points to maximize contact with the rims. Even on a semi-rimless frame, this ensures solid durability and enhances front stability.

  • The Gyaku-R hinge is positioned behind the straight, extended front end-piece. By maximizing the distance from the hinge to the temple tips, it creates a wide range of movement with minimal flex, comfortably wrapping around the head.

  • Featuring slender semi-rimless profiles, each model offers Type A and B lens shapes. Both are balanced in versatile, unisex proportions designed for an effortless fit.
